The Journal is published twice a year in June and in December by Educational and Scientific Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The Journal publishes the original and completed contributions in the field of mass communication, including the works on the theory and history of the social communications; the applied social communication technologies; the theory and history of the journalism; the theory and history of the publishing and editing; the social informatics; the document science and the archival science; the bibliology, the library science, and the bibliography. Besides, the Journal publishes book reviews in the field of mass communications published in the last two years.
