Responsibilities

Limitation

Upon the instructions of the editor-in-chief, he may perform the duties of the responsible editor of the manuscript on the following topics:

social communications, media, media discourse, media stereotyping

 

on the following categories:

social communications, media and mass communication, media audience

 

 

· Works with the author at the stage of manuscript submission, asks the author to clarify the submission if necessary, resubmit the manuscript with clarifications.

· Proposes to the editor-in-chief and the editorial board of reviewers.

· Works with reviewers.

· Participates in making decisions about the manuscript after review.

· At the editing stage, works with the text, translators, etc.

· Performs layout or orders the services of a layout designer.

· Edits the metadata of the article.

· Submits the finished layout of the article to the editor-in-chief.

· Does not propose reviewers with conflicts of interest.

· Does not interfere with the review process.

Acts as Managing Editor during the Editor-in-Chief's conflict of interest

· Accepts manuscripts.

· Carries out the first editorial supervision.

· Appoints "blind" editors for manuscripts for the period before the manuscript is accepted.

· Appoints reviewers upon the proposal of the "blind" editors and in agreement with the editorial board.

· After the collegial decision to accept the manuscript to the journal based on the review, transfers the manuscript to the stage of literary editing and production.

· After the manuscript is accepted by the journal, changes the status of the "blind" editor to the responsible editor and returns the duties of the managing editor to the editor-in-chief.

Cannot perform the duties of a responsible editor of the manuscript and a reviewer.

Cannot manage his own manuscript, co-authored manuscripts, manuscripts of subordinate colleagues (department members), relatives!!!

Does not appoint subordinate colleagues as reviewers for manuscripts authored by subordinate colleagues.

As a rule, does not appoint reviewers working at the institution of the founder and publisher of the journal for authors of manuscripts of the same institution.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Member of the Editorial Board                                   

· Makes a collective decision after review together with the responsible editor of the manuscript and members of the editorial board on the acceptance of the manuscript into the journal.

· Participates in the categorical and thematic planning of issues.

· Participates in determining the editorial policy of the journal (together with the editorial board).

· Selects reviewers for the journal.

Does not participate in making decisions after review together with the manuscript editor and members of the editorial board regarding the acceptance of one's own manuscript, co-authored manuscripts, manuscripts of subordinate colleagues (department members), relatives.

Does not appoint relatives to the reviewers of the journal.

Author, co-author (as well as the author as a relative of the co-author, as a colleague of the co-author subordinate to the editor-in-chief)

· Submits a manuscript to the journal on a general basis.

Does not participate in the decision-making process regarding his/her manuscript as a member of the editorial board, cannot be the responsible editor of his/her article. The procedure for working with the manuscript is determined by the provision on specific conflicts of interest  Conflicts of interest policy.
